Assisting a pensioner, Madge, to get a new pair of special shoes after 4 years.
Madge is an amazing lady - and so much more than a co-worker to Stephanie, who sent Good Morning Angels this request. She is in her 60’s and has apparently worn the same pair of orthopedic shoes for 17 years!!! She works hard every day and cannot afford to retire - there is no way that she can afford a new pair of shoes - even though she HAS to get a new pair.
My story is about an amazing lady that has given her whole life for other people. Her name is Madge Krugel and she is 60 something and I will really appreciate your help in getting her a new pair of orthopedic shoes.
You see, she was born with club feet turned inwards and her one leg is shorter than the other one. They have quoted her more the R20 000 for a pair of shoes and she cannot afford it. She is still working every day, due to the fact that she cannot retire because of financial implications. She was married, but her husband died after a very long illness where he was unable to work for most of their married life. She does not have children or any one to help. She is such a go-getter and hard worker and although she needs many things in life and struggles much more than her colleagues - she never complains. She is a true inspiration to me.
Please can you help, because I know a new pair of shoes will make her life so much easier. I think that pair of orthopedic shoes is more then 17 years old. I know a little vacation time will do her good as well, but the shoes are the most important thing that she really needs now.
