Helping the Olivier family through a bad patch into the new year.
Angeline Olivier lost her job in August 2012 and has not been able to find employment. The loss of income has built up over the past year - and now that their eldest of three sons, Jovan has to go to school next year, dad Graham is very worried about how they are going to do this, as they simply cannot afford it.
Firstly I would like to start by saying, congratulation on the work that you guys do for the community and the people who need assistance in their lives.
I think that you guys are a great team and keep up the good work.
I am writing to you this morning with sad hart and to give you a bit of background on my life and my current situation.
I am 31yrs of age and married to a wonderful wife and we are Blessed with 3 beautiful children, Jovan(7), Jeme and Jordan twins(5). As you know life sometimes get you down and situations in our everyday lives start taking a toll on you and your family.
My wife Angeline who is the greatest mother for my children, in August 2012, left the company which she worked for. One year has passed and she finally got work as an Estate agent now in October this year. Having said that, the year that she could not find work and I was the only one providing for the household things and paying the accounts we sometimes had to pay one thing and skip the other just to get through for the month. She has work now but both of us working on commission and not knowing what salary we will be earning at the end of the month, makes things difficult.
Our eldest son is going to Grade 1 next year, and with the costs of deposit and school clothes and stationary and all the things he needs for school next year, we are battling to make end meet. This also causes us to sometime not have food in the house but to pay for the kids crèche, knowing that they can go to school. We are getting to this time of the year were business is dying down and people are getting into the holiday spirit and for us and the kids there will be no rest for December as we both need to try and work to earn money to pay all of the things and also look after the kids and the house. I am not complaining but I need to ask this morning for your assistance if this would be possible.
Christmas is around the corner and we do not know where we will get the money to buy food and have a Christmas for our kids. This also said to get everything in order for our child to go to school in January 2014.
I am down and feel so angry, sad, frustrated and do not know who to turn to ask for assistance. Why try and keep our heads high and fight for everyday to make the best out of the situation and to provide for the kids.
If you can find a way to pray for us as a loving family and a father who does not always know where to turn his head and what to do to have a smile on my face, love his children and put them to bed each night knowing that they did not have anything to eat or how we are going to pay the house or were mommy will get petrol to take them to school. I know that we as a family need to stay strong but this morning I am writing to you ask for your help.
This is my wish for 2013/2014 to give my children what they need and to be able to take them to school and provide a warm meal for them each night.
If you can find it in your heart’s to help a family desperately in need of some sort of assistance to pick up the broken pieces and to send their kids to school and to be able to give them a Christmas.
This is all I ask for and if you require any other information then please feel free to contact me.
